Iliana was born and raised into a Cuban-immigrant family in Tampa, FL. She began singing at age 5 in church, where she discovered her love of the voice and its power to uplift others. She then moved to Atlanta, GA and began her very first voice lesson, where she sang her first showtune and subsequently discovered the uplifting power of musical theatre. She was in her first musical her Freshman year of high school, where she also began her dance and acting training, under the guidance and direction of Dr. Richard McMichen. Despite a late start in Theatre, through her hard work and passion she reached the point where she felt ready to pursue performance for life. She graduated in 2017 with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Carolina University. During her time in undergrad, she had the opportunity to perform with the Legacy Dancers in New York, premiere a musical, appear in student films and work under the direction of the Tony-nominated Terrence Mann. She's gone on to Co-Star in many networks TV Shows, star and dance in Regional Theaters, and much more!
Iliana now hops between LA and Harlem, where she loves to practice Yoga, drink coffee with oat milk, and pine over cute dogs. |
